Responsible forestry is the business.

As a hardwood mill rooted in the Southeast, our long-term success depends on the long-term health of the forests we source from. That’s not a sustainability statement — it’s a basic business reality. We source from responsibly managed forests and work closely with landowners and suppliers who follow proven forestry practices that support regeneration, biodiversity, and long-term sustainability. Our team stays actively engaged in the industry as members of the North Carolina Forestry Association and the South Carolina Forestry Association.

How we source.

Our outside log suppliers, like our internal team, follow the Best Management Practices guidelines outlined by the Sustainable Forestry Initiative. We work with suppliers who hold professional logging certifications and who view forest stewardship as integral to their work, not separate from it. The goal is straightforward: take only what the forest can replace, leave the soil and waterways better than we found them, and operate at a scale the regional resource can support indefinitely.

Our operations are backed by recognized professional standards. We are certified as TOP Logger professionals in South Carolina and Pro Logger certified in North Carolina — distinctions that reflect our adherence to best practices in safety, environmental responsibility, and sustainable harvesting.

Minimizing waste, end to end.

Inside the mill, we focus on maximizing efficiency and minimizing waste. We utilize as much of every log as possible, converting byproducts into useful materials such as chips, mulch, and other secondary products. This approach reduces environmental impact and supports a more sustainable manufacturing process. We are committed to continuous improvement in reducing emissions, conserving energy, and refining our processes. Sustainability isn't a goal for us — it's a responsibility that shapes how we operate every day.
